Lotteries in France.
Paris, September 21. In ooNsequence of the decision of M. Clemencean’s administration to put an end to public lotteries with the exception of the Municipal Bonds and Credit Foncier System, the new Premier, M. Briand, has authorised a gigantic final lottery of 2,150,000 tickets at 20 francs (16s) apiece. Six prizes of £40,000 sterling are offered, and the net proceeds, £1,244,000 sterling will be divided among 27 charities.
