Nikau palms .'<»ana bunting were so tastefully arranged : ■ at one could be pardoned for wonaer®B’ d this. could be the same Public A nice design “ Welcome ” was Worked out in nikau leaves with white back ground, on the front of the stage. Une could see at a glance that extra care had been given to the floor, and nothing was found wanting in thin respect ; while the fact that the everwelcome Te Aroha Trio were providing the the dance music was another pleasing feature. The dainty programmes piloted oy # the local office were much admired. Dancing commenced at 8.20 p.m,, sharp and was continued with Seat spirit until 1.30 a.m. The M’s.C., essrs W. Henderson and K. 8. Hanna, ably assisted by Messrs C. Wallace and H. Gahagan, were ideally the right men m the right place and the pleasure of the evening was greatly due to their harmonious co-operation, and careful attention to the wants of all. At 10.30 p.m., an excellent supper was handed round by a small army of willing helpers. Extras were contributed by Ausses Kerr, Stewart, and Maingay. The committee, who were ably controlled by the energetic Secretary, Mr Gahagan, are to be complimented on the pleasant evening’s outing. We understand these two socials are to be annual affairs.
