FOUND SHOT DEAD

Hamilton, Last Night. Word was received in Hamilton today that the body of a man had been found at Tamahere, with a discharged fowling-piece lyiug by his side. On receipt of the news Sergt. Hastie, rode out and found the news only too true. The victim being Mr John Murphy, the well-known bridge and road contractor. Deceased left his home at 8 o’clock to go out rabbit shooting, and his lifeless body was found on his farm at 2.30 this afternoon. Mr Murphy was' the contractor for the new traffic bridge and approaches at the foot of Kenrick-street, Te Aroha. \ s No further particulars are avails able.
