The Waratah.
London, August 29. A correspondent in writing of the disappearance of the Eund steamer . Waratah:, recalls the rescue of the Dutch barque Darecht, which, when disaoled, was missing for several weeks off the South African Coast in 1884, a position just as hard to locate as that of the Waratah. She kept a sharp lookout for the Waratd>, but saw no sign ot the uiissieg vesse™' * Perth, August 30, /N officer of the strainer Madura, from Dolagoa Bay. states that the east north? east cu rent had taken an extraordinary southerly sea w.th strong northerly winds prevailing at the time the Waratah disappeared. He believes that if she is disabled she is drift - ig southwards, and would now be making towards Australia in a very southerly latitude.
