The Greek Flag.
Athens, August 15, The Cretan Government intimates its resignation, owing to, the failure of efforts to persuade the people to lower the Greek flag over Cane :-, fortress. More warships have been ordered to Crete to remove the flag unless the Cretans meantime remove it. The Greek newspapers unanimously urge the Cretans to respect the wishe3 of the Powers.
