FACTORY TO BE OPENED AT HASTINGS.

Hastings, August 12. E k DINANT, of Melbourne, has succeeded in selling to a New Zealand syndicate for £20,000 the right to manufacture leather rubber in the Dominion, and a company with a capital of £40,000, which has been over-subscribed, has been floated to manufacture many articles of commerce now made of ordinary leather and rubber, the waste products of which will make leather rubber. Ninety per cent, of the capital was raised in Hawke’s Bay. The factory will be at Hastings, and the manufacture will commence early next year.
