THE SUGGESTED CARNIVAL.

(To the Editor.)

Sir,—Re the projected carnival, I have had numerous oners of support, and there is much inquiry from outside concerning the nature or rather the form that the Carnival will take. I will wait on the townsmen to-morrow with a requisition requesting our worthy Mayor to convene a public meeting (and it is to be hoped that we will have a bumper attendance) and show the outside towns that when there is a matter of vital public interest Te Aroha can forgot her little jealousies and quarrels and work amicably for the public weal.—l am, etc., Ton Donovan.
