Weather.—During the past few days we have had some heavy rains, but unless these continue fora short time longer the benefits will only be temporary. Danish.—Quotation has been reduced 3 kroners (3s Gd). Siberian,—Quantity is still small, but quality this week is in many cases unsatisfactory, and we cannot expect any improvement now until we get the full grass. Prices are down 3s to 4s on the week.
French.—Prices are unaltered at time of writing. There have been thunder-
storms in Normandy, but much more rain is necessary both in Normandy and -v Brittany if the make is to become normal ; at present it is short. Australian.—The s.s. “Mongolia” arrived with 4,500 boxes on board, and these have landed in good order. -Buyers are|holdmg off at the moment, as the rains all. over the country have altered the position very materially. New Zealand.—The s.s. “ Paparoa” is * n oc k> hut it is not expected that any of her butters will be available until after the holiday. QjjCheeso (Canadian). —Quotations are somewhat easier and the make is rapidly increasing. New Zealand.—All landed stocks are ] practically cleared up close, and we look for a good demand immediately the Paparoa ” shipment is landed.
