Road Board "Breeze" at Katikati.
CHAIRMAN STEWART RESIGNS.
W auu. June lid. Ai'a meeting of the Katikati Road Board a dispute arose over the appointment of a rate collector. The chairman (Yesey Stewart) refused to put the motion appointing Constable Dunne collector at U> per cent, without notice of motion to rescind the previous resolution, but the majority of the Board opposed him ; whereupon Mr Stewart resigned the chairmanship and also his seat on the Board, which he has held for over JO years, and left the meeting.
