Butter and Cheese Market.
Messes E. Griffiths and Co., are in receipt of the following butter market report from their London Principals, Messrs Mills and Sparrow, dated 7th., May 1909.Weather.—Cold easterly winds have been prevalent all over the country J the pastures and all vegetation suffer in consequence. Danish.—Quotation has brrn advanced 1 krone? and butters are clearing at the advance.
Siberian.—Under 3,000 casks were landed this week. These have found ready sale at a slight advance over last week. Quality is again good. French.—4 fair proportion of the best grades are 'now full class and quality is pleasing. Normandy salted qualit:es are down 2s. Australian.—Finest is in particularly small supply and a few very fine brands have realised a slight advance over last week. 4
New Zealand. —S.H. “ Turakina ”

Agents are hoi ling for an advence l sympathy with Danish. Cheese. —Reports from Canada are that the early makes will be short. The trade here has in consequence been rather heavier for New Zealands ; (64s is now asked for colored to arrive ex s.s. “Athenic”; 6: ; s, and for one or two
brands 63s is wanted for white. Market is cleared up pretty close.
