MORRINSVILLE

(Own Correspondent)

The local butchers are well-known for the splendid quality of the meat supplied by them, and on Wednesday there was to be seen in the shop of Mr F. J. Marshall a wether which turned the scale at ilOOlbs. It was not so excessively fat, but fiae and meaty, an ideal butcher’s sheep, and was purchased at the local saleyards. Being a four-tooth it was not at all old.

The ladies are working hard completing the arrangements for the Sale of Work, and should they be successful in disposing of all the material provided, the erection of the vicarage is assured, and no doubt the Phoenix Hall will present a busy appearance during the next two days. The produce stall will be a feature of the Sale, purchasers being able to procure anything, from a bag of potatoes to a dressed lamb.
