Waitoa Notes.

(From our own Correspondent.) I regret to have to record that Mr McLean, headmaster of the local School, s seriously ill, suffering from an attack of acute pneumonia. Dr. Seville, of Morrinsville, is in attendance. I hope to be able to report more favourably in next issue. As a result of Mr McLean’s illness the school has been closed down for a fortnight. The Education Board is unable to provide a substitute. All the settlers are talking drains; nothing but drains and the £6OOO loan. It looks as if the actions of the Trinity Drainage Board will prove a stumbling block to the Waitoa. It is a. pity they did not go to work on proper lines and follow the good example set by the Hungahuuga Drainage Board.
