Schoolboy’s Essay on Clothes.
The following is an extract quoted by the “ Pall Mall ” magazine from an essay in composition written by a boy in a London elementary school :
“ Clothing is an article which everybody article is ■\yprn b.v savages or natives, which is a piece of cloth or a few leaves pr feathers round the waste. In cold countries same as Eskimoe3, the people W&ro more clothes than we do, count of the icy cold out there. They can skate all the year round, except about expo thaw there is in Summer. Jf they walked alropt flke natives th°y would Catch cpld directly a n d die pf bronkitis. \\ T e pqt clothes on which are nearly like our bodies, same as caps, coats, and trousers, but women and girls ware hats and frocks to tell who they are,' 1
