Loyal Hot Springs Lodge, 1.0.0. F., M.U., A.D.

A special summons meeting of the above Lodge was held in the Lodge room, Rewi-street, on Friday oveiling last. There was a good attendance of members. The instructing officers comprising P. G. M. Bro. Lc Houx, D. Bro. Saunders, D.C.S., Bro. McLeod were present. The N.G. Bro. Harris occupied the chair, and the following officers were present :-V.G. P.G.. Bro. J. Fugill, E. P.G, L. Buchan, P.S., Bro. Win. Mclnman, Warden, P.G., Bro. Mace; Guardian Bro. Millmr, P.S.N.G D.G.M. Bro. Saunders, S.SN.G.D.C C. Bro. Mo .eod, R.S V.G. Bro. N. Peters, L.S.V.G. Bro. Bellamy, P.G M. 8.0. Le House occupied the S.M’s chair.

N'G. Bro. Harris in a few well chosen words welcomed the District officers on behalf of the Lodge. The honours of the order were also conferred on them. P.G. Bro. Bedford of the Loyal Waihi Lodge was also present.

P.G.’s degrees were bestowed on Bros’ L. Buchan, J. Fugill, and T. Rowe by the district officers.

After the usual business was disposed of the district officers and brethren sat down to a Splendid supper, catered for in P.G. Bro. P. Dierk’s well-known style. The ('hair was occupied by P.G. Bro. Maoo.

The following programme was gone through : —Toast, *• The King," by the chairman and members singing the National Anthem; song. P.G. Bro. Dierk ; Toast. “The Visiting Officers.” responded to by P.G.M. Le Houx, D.G.M. Saunders, and D.C.S. McLeod, the latter \n the course of his remarks referred to an insurance scheme in connection with the order to come into force soon. Song, P.G.. Bro. L. Buelmn: Toast, “ Sister Lodges” responded to by P. G. Bedford Waihi and Bro. McKee (Waikato); song, P. G. Bro. Fugill ; Toast, “ Loyal Hot Springs Lodge,” responded to by P.G. Bro. Mace ; song, Bro. Pdkington: Toast, “ The Press,” responded to by Bro. J. T. Maingry (News) ; songs P.G. Bro Mace, and D.C.S. McLeod, The singing of “ Auld Lang Syne ” brought. |a most pleasant evening to an end.

P.G. Bro: L. Buchan presided at the piano.
