French Post Office Strike.

Pabis. May 9. There are still grave fears of another strike in the French pest office. The Disciplinary Consul of Paris dismissed, eight postal officials suspected of fomenting troublo. Strenuous precautions are being taken to prevent disorganisation of the service in the event of a strike. _ A large number of soldiers and ’cyclists are in readiness to sort and deliver letters. There are ten thousand trained pigeons in Paris, and one hundred thousand in the provinces ready for the rapid interchage of messages should the telegraph wires be cut. The railway men’s Union has voted in favour of a general strike unless Parliament passes the Old Age Pensions Bill, and also decided to support the post office employees. MeaA* while the Government decided, as a precautionary measure to dissolve the Postal Servant Union as illegal.
