Two Steamers Collide.

SIXTEEN PERSONS DROWNED. London, April 25. A collision occurred near Christiana fjfi yesterday, between the British steamer Oxford and the Norwegian steamer Edith. i?he latter was badly damaged by th~ impact and filled and sank within , a few minutes.

The Oxford’s boats were quickly got out and many from the sunken steamer picked up, but the captaiu’s wife and sixteen passengers and crew were drowned.
