School Committee.
The usual monthly meeting of the Te Aroha School Committe was hold in the Schoolhouse last evening, when there were present Messrs Somers (Chairman), Ashby, Devey, Maingay, and Shenoc v (secretary). The monthly report showed the number on tne roll to be :—Primary, 222; second'ary, 20; average atteadance: Primary, 182*72; secondary, 1813.
This was considered very satisfactory
The Visiting Committees Report was avourable.
Accounts at follows wore passed for payment: —A. Allen. £1 17s 9d ; E. Rayner, £3 9s; J. Agnew, 19s Mrs Walker, £2 Is 8 i A f w other minor matters appertaining to the welfare of the school were a*tended to.
Before departing the Chairman thanked the members fir the way in which they hid assisted him to carry ou(t the duties of office during the ptst twelve months. He reminded them that the annual meeting would take place Oi ihe 26th inst.
