SCHOOL PICNIC.

The Secretary (Mr J T. Maingay) reported that the cash receipts for rh» recent school picnic amounted to £l7 Ila 3d ; expenditure in provisions, e’e, £l2 6s; leaving the balance £5 5s 3d to be distributed as prize money. In addition to cish trophies goods were donated by Messrs Grey and Menz'es, A, W. Edwards. L\ Donovan, J, B, Johnson, and W. Green.

Hearty votes of thanks were returned to the fpersons mentioned, to Mi Geo. Lipsey for use of paddock, the headmaster and staff, and in fact to all who had assisted in any way to make the affair such a success.
