A Dangerous Bull

Fok some time past a young bull has been roaming about on the western side of the river, and charging all who happen to cross its path. On Saturday last a Miss Gardener, of Gore, and a. Mr J. C. Clark went out gathering mushrooms, and were returning along the cemetery road when the bull made straight for them. The young lady endeavoured to get through the barb wire fonce, but got caught in the fence, from which Mr Clark had just time to extricate her and assist her over as the bull rushed up. Miss Gardener, who is on a visit to Te Aroha suffering from nervous debility, is completely pros - trated as the result of this unpleasant episode, which will prove a serious set-back to her recovery.
