SOME APPOINTMENTS FROM NEW ZEALAND. Marton, March 17. Some appointments in [the High Commissioner’s Office, London, were announced by the Prime Minister, Sir Joseph Ward, at Marton last night. The Secretary ito the High Commissioner, Walter Kennaway, is retiring under the age limit. To take the place of Secretary the Government has appointed Mr Paliiser, who for some years has been an audit officer in the High Commissioner’s office. The vacancy of auditor will by filled by Mr T. H. Hamer, Under-Secretary for Mines, who has filled many positions in New Zealand displaying high abilities. Another gentleman indefatigable in zeal and high qualifications, Mr T. E. Donne, General Manager of the Tourist Department, would go Home at the same time as Mr Hamer as Trade Representative and Immigration Agent for New Zealand.
