Unemployed Question.
NO IMMIGRANTS WANTED.
A RIGHT TO WORK BILL ADVOCATED.
Auckland, February 18.
At an unemployed meeting held to- / day, the following resolution was carried : “ That the Government instruct the High Commissioner in England to see that the agents or lecturers employed by private agencies advocating New Zealand as a desirable place for emigrants be exposed if they speak contrary to the real icondition of work in the Dominion.” The following gentlemen spoke in support: Rev. Millar, Rev. Gray Dixon, Mr George Davis, Mr F. 8. Spillman, Mr Pa ton (Scotch misaioner), and others. Mr P. Black moved : “ That the Government be requested to place a Right to Work Bill on the Statue Book this coming session.” The motion was carried. It was further decided that the unemployed call on Sir J. G. Ward and put their case before him.
