i OPENING SHOW. Judging by the amount of interest evinced iD the opening show of the ] above society there is every likeli-

hood the function will prove an unqualified success. The show will be held on the Parawai on .Thursday next, February 25tb. A grand parade of stock will take ' place, in addition to which there will be ladies’, gents, and boys’, riding and jumping contests. Excursion fares from Te Aroha, Waihi, and intermediate stations. A train will leave the Thames on the return journey at 7 p.m. The Secretary (Mr Frank Claxton) and a strong Committee are working hard to make the show a success.
