Te Aroha Defence Rifle Corps.
+ At the meeting held in the Borough Chambers on Friday evening last there was a large attendance, and a considerable amount of important business was transacted. The president, Mr F. W. Wild, was in the chair. Minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed.
Mr Mackie asked to submit a price for target shed, and targets for use on the range.
Uniform, consisting of blue serge Norfolk jacket and trousers, and khaki cap was decided on.
The return match with Waikino Club was also brought up, and arrangements will be made for it to be fired at Waikino shortly. The annual subscription and position of honorary members was discussed and decided. The annual meeting of the Club is to be held the first week in March each year, for election of officers, etc., for ensuing year.
This Club is rapidly gaining in strength, and among its members are some really good shots who no doubt will give a good account of themselves at Association meetings in the near future. It was also decided to strictly enforce the rule that only those who attended parade could obtain free ammunition for practice.
