South Auckland Rifle Association.

RIFLE MEETING AT TE AROHA

29th JANUARY.

The approaching rifle meeting at Te Aroha on the 29th inst , promises to be fairly well patronised by outside marksmen, and as far as the range is concerned, they will have no grounds for complaint. Messrs Devey and Eowe have been busily engaged fixing up the eight targets, and otherwise getting ready for the meeting, which will doubtless prove the biggest gathering of rifle shots ever held in Te Aroha. On Saturday last Secretary Hubbard visited Te Aroha for the purpose of making the final arrangements, and he appeared very well satisfied with the progress being made and the position of the range, etc. It is expected that going on for 200 shootists will participate in the meeting, from Paeroa, Waihi, Thames, Waikato, Auckland, Whangarei, and all along

the Main Trunk Line. I The catering has been entrusted to Mr P. Dierck who will doubtless carry out | his portion in his usual efficient ' manner.
