Thk ordinary monthly meeting T® Arolia School Committee took pi**® “j the school-house the other evening, there were present: —Messrs D. • W .llace, Ashby, E. Devey, and G. Sherlock (Secretary). In absence of Mr Somers, Mr Wallace wa voted to the chaiv. , The minutes and inward and outwai correspondence were dealt with. No reports w re available. , . The Visiting Committee reported that, every tiling in connection with the school and surroundings are satisfactory. It was resolved t > present school prizes _ as in former years, Mr Gilchrist having very generously again offered to pay halt cost of the same The- of the books was left in the hands of Mr A. r. Burton, headmaster. Mr Sherlock reported a credit balance of .£ 14 odd. This was considered satisfactory. The Secretary roported that arrangements had been completed re cleaning o school. , Mr Sherlock thought it would be as well if the new school library books were placed at the disposal of scholars. A number of accounts were passed. payment and the meeting terminated.
