Waihou Tennis Club.

OPENING SOCIAL

The Social promoted l>y the above club took place on Wednesday evening and was patronised so largely that the hall was packed. The arrangements under Miss E. M. King, secretary, and the committee were all well attended to, and a very enjoyable evening was spent Mr Lewis kindly lent his piano, and the music for the dancing was supplied voluntarily by Misses Teague, A. and H. Taylor, M. Y r oysey and Mr Felton. At 11.30 refreshments, kindly supplied by the members of the club, were partaken of, after which dancing recommenced and was kept up with spirit till 1.30 when all wended their' way homewards. Yocal items were contributed during the evening by Mr H. Binstead and Miss Julia Yoysey.
