A meeting of the P. M R. Shooting Committee will ba held at an earljr date to arrange shooting fixtures for the summer months. Mr Frank Keen has donated a silver* mounted tobacco pouch as a second prise at the Walla e Trophy competition on Saturday, September 26tb, A t dephone has been procured for the local rifle range, and will be connected in the course of a few* weeks.

Annual inspection parade of the Piako Mounted Rifles, under Commandant Wolfe, will be held at Cochrane’s farm, Waihou, on Saturday next. Every member must put in an appearance, otherwise a fine of £1 will be inflicted.
