“The Merrymakers.”
Following on successful seasons in Melbourne, Adelaide, Tasmania, and the principal towns of the Dominion, the Merrymakers will appear at the Public Hall on Friday evening next. The fact of Messrs J. and N. Tait directing the tour of this new English organisation should be a guarantee that the Merrymakers’ performances will be high-class and apprecinted by Te Aroha patrons, but as all the members of this vaudeville company are said to be masters in thenart in England, the success of the season should be doubly assured. An Australian exchange says : 44 It is impossible in cold type to properly sum up their brilliant programme, but that they tnoroughly justify their title was proved by the continuous applause and convulsive laughter which these genuine funmakers evoked by their unequalled performance.” The box plan is open at Jackson’s. The prices are very low, considering the company is composed of artists who each possess good London reputations.
