Mill Operators Strike
Calcutta, July 19. Fourteen thousand mill operators struck yesterday and considerable rioting and window smashing followed. Some assaults were made on Europeans necessitating the calling out of the military. Twelve thousand of the strikers then resumed work. The artillery is still in the disturbed area to prevent a recrudescence of trouble.
