Can a woman who does hot inherit a naturally artistic sense be taught to dress with good taste ? This is the important question Monsieur Worth, the famous Parisian dress designer, discusses in the July issue of ‘ The New Idea,” and answers in the affirmative. He gives'certain welldefined rules, by which a woman of average intelligence may learn to dress to the very best advantage, if not always in the very latest style, The article is one of several fine special features that form the back-hone of the current “New Idea." In addition to these, there are a number of excellent . short stories, and two very amusing and entertaining serial tales, notably “ The Flirtations of Four,” which is by Henrietta Serjeant, and promises to be a distinct addition to Austratralian literature. The regular departments are replete with good things ; indeed, the July issue is what the editor claims for it—the best number of “The New Idea” that has ever been published. As usual, three useful, up-to-date paper patterns are given away with every copy..
