The team selected to Represent Piako 11. in their match wj£h PaegOft 11., next Saturday, seems to JIvVC given satisfaction, ahd in raqsi quarters is looked upon as that strongest representation selected to do honour to the Piako Union.
The following are a few notes on the respective players : W. Shaw (Te Aroha) full-back : A strong defensive player, splendid field and kick, and a fair tackier.
J. Forbes (Waihou), threequarters: Fairly fast, good in defence, good 0 kick and tackier, can be played at > 4/ full-back with equal success,,,; R. Brenan (Te Aroha): One ot the best if not the best defensive players in the Union..—,A,..deadly tackier and a dangerous man near tfe® line. f.( '• .
S. Rae (Matamata): A fast man* good kick and a clean fielder; also a good scoring* man. '* ! '■ •"V * M. Maclean (Morrinsvillej $ : A fast and at times tricky player, 1 kidra well with either foot,' is a safe field* and sure tackier. ■. i '• . r( t G
