Sudden Death at Waiorongomai

£-MR T. F. HOLT FOUND DEAD.

Quite a shock passed through the toAvn yesterday afternoon Avhen it became knoAvn that Mr T. F. Holt, of Waiorongomai, had dropped dead. Mr Holt left home about 10 a.m. in his usual state of health, for the purpose of visiting Hardy’s mines. About 3 o’clock a man named John Glover, who was on his way to Avork on the 4 o’clock shift at the mines, found Holt lying across the road near the top of the first grade. Life Avas extinct. Deceased was carried down on a stretcher to his home Mrs Holt states deceased never complained about his heart, and of late had been in bis usual state of good health • An inquest will be held to-day.
