TE AROHA v. HAMILTON

WIN FOR TE AROHA

A team picked from the Te Aroha Ladies’ Hockey Club journeyed to Hamilton by yesterday morning’s train, for the purpose of playing a friendly game with the Hamilton reps. On arrival at Hamilton the visitors were suitably welcomed and entertained at morning tea by Mrs Dr. Brewis, president of the Hamilton Club.

The match was played in Harwood’s paddock and resulted in a win for Te Aroha, by two goals to one. The game was a fast and interesting one, ithe teams being very evenly matched. Te Aroha goals were scored by Misses Hare and D. Edwards; Miss Kansted notching the goal for Hamilton. At the conclusion of the match Mr Somers, on behalf of the Te Aroha players thanked the President (Mrs Dr. Brewis) and the Hamilton ladies for their hospitality.
