WAIHOU v. MATAMATA A great deal of interest was taken in the return match between tho above clubs. It was played in the Matamata Domain, on Saturday last. The game was well contested throughout. The local forwards appeared to advantage, while the visitors’ back division showed their superiority over their rivals. A very interesting game resulted in a win for the local team by 13 points to 8. Mr G. Mays acted as referee and gave entire satisfaction. During the early stages of the game A. Lennard had to retire owing to an injury to his shoulder.
