As nothing of a definite nature has been settled with the Bank, it was resolved to inform Mr Price accordingly, adding that as soon as possible the matter will receive attention. —Waitoa Roads— It was decided to meet the Ohinemuri County deputation on Monday next. —Aratiatia Road — Mr McLaren, on behalf of settlers and himself, ■waited on the Council with respect to certain sanding they considered required doing.—lt was resolved that owing to the lateness of the season this work be deferred till fine weather set in. —Waitoa-Matamata Road —

S. S. Driver and Mikkelsen wrote re sanding on this road. They understood the work was going to be done months ago.—On the motion of Cr. Manuel it was resolved to let the work stand over till the spring. —Waihou Drain — Messrs Flatt and Mclndoe waited on the Council re drain. Foreman and Cr. McGloin to report at next meeting. —Morrinsville Gravel Pit— Cr. Manuel drew attention to the present condition of this pit. He pointed out that those using the pit in the past had stripped it wrongly, hence the present trouble in getting out material. He considered that for the Council to leave the pit in its present condition was false economy. Every contractor tendering usually put in extra for the difficulty in getting the gravel. A good road should be made into the pit. Cr. Manuel contended that from £SO to £6O spent in putting the pit in order ivould make it one of the best gravel pits in the country, and the result would amply repay the outlay. The gravel was of a quality adapted for road-making—a good binding sort. He contended that the present was a good time to do the work. He proposed that tenders be called for putting the pit in order, and forming road thereto. — Seconded by Cr Ring and carried.
