Farewell Social.

The Public Hall was comfortably filled on Tuesday evening last, when a number of young men, who have made themselves deservedly popular during their stay in our midst, were tendered a farewell social. The floor was in excellent condition, and, combined with the first-class music provided by Mr Mclnman’s orchestra, made dancing a real treat. In addition to the lengthy programme set down, extras were supplied by Misses G. Bygrave and Bossons. Mr Geo. Deverell made a capital M.C., and kept things moving right merrily. The energetic ladies’ committee are to be congratulated for the success of the function. The proceeds were handed over to the Ladies’ Hockey Club.
