Fire at Te Aroha.

About 4 o’olock on Sunday morning last th® firebell rang out on alarm. The seat 0* trouble was the house occupied by Mr N. Peters, and owned by Mr Orient Lovegrove, of Now Plymouth. The time appeared long ere the Fire Brigade appeared on the scene, but when they did arrive the members, under Capt. Pilkington, got to work in remarkably quick time, the smartness of the men was remarked upon by many present. The building, a four-roomed one, and its contents were demolished, and Mr Peters and the owner are heavy losers. The building was insured for £IOO in the “ South British,” and the furniture for £7O in the “ Guardian.’ The origin of the fire is a mystery, Mr Peters just managed to get out of the burning building in time.
