Fatality at Paeroa.
MAN CUT TO PIECES.
PAEROA, April 28. John Barrett, (known as •* Soapy ” Barrett), a single man, aged 45, was killed on the railway crossing last night. The last , train from Waihi was approaching the level crosning neat Paeroa when the driver noticed a dark object on the line. , He attempted to puli up, brogue train went over Barrett, killed instantaneously. _ ■' His head was completely Severed from the body, and one arm nearly so. Both legs were badly broken. Parts of the body were scattered over the line about a chain. The clothing was . completely ripped off the body.
