Te Aroha Methodist Church.
ANNIVERSARY SERVICES. The anniversary services of the above Church were held on Easter Sunday, \ when the Rev. J. Wrigley preached two excellent sermons. The weather was very unpropitious, but the evening congregation was large, and the collections in excess of any previous year. On Tuesday the annual teameeting wasiheld in the school room, and considering the weather, which kept the country people away there was a good attendance. The meeting in the church was very enthusiastic, presided over by the Rbv. J- Dukes. The Rev. Mr Blair gave a very practical address, and Mrs Blair sang a sacred sole. The musical arrange- ■. ■, ments, under Mr Sherlock, -were satisfactorily carried out, and Miss Stanley presided at the organ. ;' Mr Hirst, church treasurer, read the financial report, showing the year s income to be £4O 15s lOd, and the-** • expenditure, £3B 17s 5d
