Mayoral Election.

• MR R. L. SOMERS ELECTED UNOPPOSED.

At the time appointed for the re, ceiving of nominations for the, posiof Mayor of the Borough of Te Aroha (12,-nuon j-escerday), only one nomkiiation had been received, viz., 'Mr R. L. Somers, his nominators being Rev. E. M. Cowie and Mr Thos. Gavin.

Mr Somers was therefore declared duly elected. This is Mr Somers* third term of office, and he appears to maintain he confidence of the people.
