Opening New Rifle Range.

The opening of the new rifle range takes place on Saturday next, 25th inst. It is expected there will be a big muster of the Piako Mounted Rifles. The first shot will be fired by the Mayoress (Mrs R. L. Somers). The afternoon programme has been somewhat altered, in order that the civilians, veterans, and volunteers may take part in the afternoon’s shooting. Visitors will be welcome, and afternoon tea provided. In all probability coaches will run to and from the range.
