Brass Band for Te Aroha.
The Mayor announced that in view of the approaching summer, they had to consider the formation of a band, as a number of people were in favour of making another attempt to start one. Messrs Mdnman and Sherlock, trustees of the Band, have kept the interest paid up on the bandroom, etc., and they were prepared to hand over any instruments, ball, and any moneys on the band being registered under the Friendly Society’s Act. The Mayor moved that the Mayor, Council and trustees call a meeting for Friday night at 8 o’clock to consider the formation of a town band.— Carried.
