The Nightcap’s Commission.

DUNEIDIN, This Day. In connection with'the -.ippointmeut of a Royal Commission to inquire into the Nightcaps disaster the following telegram has been sent by Mr Handyside (managing director J (he Nightcaps C nrtpany) to the Minister „ for Justice : —“ Your telegram received : . finally declining to refer personnel of the Nightcaps Commission to the Cabinet. Had the three original members been adhered to, the Otago Employers’ and Coal-owners’ Associations would have been quite satisfied, but the Otago Coalnuners’ Union and the Trades and Labor Council would not have be.n. When the latter asked for more -you gave it, but declined the same request from the former. The Employers’ and Coalowners’ Associa- . / tions have no wish to rule New Zea*» land as the labour unions and "onrei's now practicallv/jio, but they do expect to get justice.” ,
