Correspondence.

-;Ve do not hold ourselves responsible for ’ the opinions expressed by our correspondents.

- [to the editoe]

Sir. —On visiting the cemetery recently I discovered that a wreath', which hs d been placed on the grave of a person d frienS, by a member of deceased’s family, had been removed to an adj >ining grave. A card attached to the wre.illi, with the giver’s name inscribed, was concealed underneath, so that the name was hidden. The flowers were much broken and damaged. Now, sir, 1 think a person vho is contemptible enough to steal off graves should receive the full punishment of the law. It is quite possible this mean act was the work of some mischievous child, asone canuot conceive a man or woman sinking so low. This is the third, similar case which has come under iny notice, so I thought a few words in your, valuable columns might help to check these misdeeds.—l am, etc., H. G. Saunders.
