Barque Stefano Razetto.

The Italian barque Steiano Razetto was sold on Thursday at the Bluff for £3250. At the commencement of the auction Mr Stout said he was instructed by the owners to contest the legality of the sale, on the ground that a proper inventory had not been taken.

The auctioneer said he was selling under instructions from the Admiralty Court, and was secure in his position, The sale went on. There ware only two bids, the first being of £3OOO, and the next £3250, by Mr W. S, Waterston, to whom the ship WM knocked down. The auctioneer men* tioned that the vessel fetched £9OOO eight years ago. An impression -is abroad that the purchase was . made on the owner’s behalf, but this WM denied by Mr Waterston.
