Cattle: At the Newmarket Ygjas on Tuesday there was a full yardirtg - of all descriptions Dairy cow’s sold at from £3 10s to £7 12s 6d ; heifers, £3 os to £5 10s; empty cows, £1 Us 6d to £{s ( 2s ; calves, 17s 6d to £1 Bs. These was a full muster of beef and competition for first quality was keen. Oxen sold to 23s per 1001 b ; cows’, 18s to 20s per 1001 b Steers sold at from £6 10s to £lO 17s 6d j cows, £4 5s to £7 10s. The quality of the beef throughout was good, although no heavy weights were yarded. Sheep: The Newmarket Yards were well filled on Tuesday and the rise of last week’s prices was fully maintained. We quote —Wethers, from £1 2s to £1 10s. ewes, 17s 6d to £1 3s; hoggets, 10#, to los 6d. Pigs : Porkers sold at from 18s 6d to £1 8s ; weaners, 7s 6d to 15s; baconers, £1 17s to £3 6s. Oats are firm at 3s od ex store. Maize is selling slowly at 3s 8d ex Chaff: Southern, £6 los ; local. £6. Fowl wheat, 4s 6d ex store. Potatoes are finding ready sale at £5 los to £6. , , Butter : Prime separator is in good demand at 9d and 91, and poorer qualities are hard to quit at 6d to 7d.
