Te Aroha Young Men’s Club.
The Te A roha Young Men’s Club holds its first meeting on Monday evening in the Public Hall, when the general public will ho admitted free of charge. An interesting programme has been arranged. The question ‘ ‘ Should military training be made compulsory ?” will be debated. The affirmative will bo taken by the Rev. C. Robertson and Mr C. F. Spooner ; whilst the Rev. J. Dukes and Mr A. F. Burton will maintain the negative. In addition to the debate, there will be a miscellaneous programme of musical and other items, to which it is expected that Mesdames Burton aud Wigg; Misses Spence, Hodges, Beswiek, Bossons, and Smith ; Messrs Wharton Thompson, Dormer, F. W. Wild, Mclndoe, and Dr. Kenny, will contribute items. If sufficiently recovered from his indisposition, His Worship the Mayor, R. L. Somers, will preside.
