Te Aroha West.

The social evening at the local Library and Social Club on Thursday proved very successful, a large number of members attending. A number of new members were enrolled. At a meeting of the management committee it was decided, on the motion of Mr Bell, to amend the charges by issuing family tickets at ss, the same to give the privilege of taking two books a week, and free admission to the social evenings of all members of the family over fifteen years of age ; also to hold night once a month, the ladies to provide refreshments, and to charge nonmembers 6d ' admission. Mr Davis oßered to bring table cricket some evening. It was decided to accdpt his offer, and that lie be asked to bring it on June 19th (an open night). It was also decided to add a set of dominoes to the games available for members.
