WAIKATO STOCK SALE.
The Hew Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Hamilton, report: —On Tuesday, May 7th, at Ohaupo. ive had only a small muster of cattle, but prices were much improved and everything sold readily at the hammer. Fifteen to 18-nontbs-old steers realised from £1 19s 6d to 62 Is ; mixed yearlings, £1 16s to £1 ; good halves, 19s to £1 6s; fresh-condition young tows and heifers, £1 17s 6d fo £2 16s;, bringing heifers, £4 5s to £4 15s. On Friday, May 10, at Ngaruawahia, we held a sale of sheep and cattle. A large attendance of buyers was present from Auckland, Te Kuiti, Morrinsville, and Waikato listricts. We report a most successful sale, the 2000 sheep advertised met ! extra keen loin petition, and all were sold at the hammer. Fat and forward wethers realised from 18s 7d Id £1 Is 3d; store wethers, 16s 3d to 17s fld: woolly lambs, 12s 3d to 12s 9d; shorn lambs, los 4d; cull lambs, 7s 9d to 9s 2d; fullliouthed ewee, in lamb, 16s 3d to 16s 6d; tnall fat steers, £6 12s ; fat heifers, £4 15s I) £5 10s; yearling to 18-month steers, £2 pto £2 12s; strong calves, 17s 6d to £1 2s; pringing heifers, £4 5s to £5; choice cow, par profit, £7. •" . -
