- An oil launch built by Logan Bro s ; Auckland to the order of Farrow Bros., of Waitoa, arrived here last Saturday. It is the intention of the

owners to use the launch during the forthcoming shooting season on the Waitoa and Piako rivers. She is fitted with a one and-a-half horsepower oil engine and has a draught of 9 inches. She took a shooting party down the Piako yesterday, being the first day of the season" The alteration of the Morrinsville football district boundary by the

Piako Rugby Union so that it in-

cludes Waitoa, is a step in the right direction, and the Union are to be complimented in assisting a club who have turned out Saturday after

Saturday to fulfil their engagements. Although more or less short of men, the Morrrinsville hoys never disappointed the public. Included in the new boundary will be the three Farrow brothers who played for Waihou last year, L. Buchan, another old Waihou player who played for Te Aroha last year. Jack Tye late of Waihou team, J. Millar of Matamata, and several natives from

the flaxmill. I hear that Mr L. B. Warren has

disposed of his butchery business to Mr H. Magill of Waihou who takes up business on May Ist. An accident happened to Molly

Neems, daughter of Mr S. Neems of Waitoa,; she was riding a horse to school, when it shied at a gate and

threw her against the gate-post. Fortunately no bones were broken.

She was taken to the residence of Mr McLean the schoolmaster, and when it was found that she had only

sustained a few bruises and a shak-

ing, was able to proceed home in a < trap. l Mr Ned Farrow arrived home 1

yesterday, after a week’s deer stalking at Matamata, he reports deer to be plentiful. He bagged no less than seven.
